As of June 5th, we have over 150 hats completed. If we can do 60 more each month, we will make it!
UPDATE: August 1, 2009:
Up to 472 hats!   So now we will contine to knit hats, with the largest sizes going to the
additional 103 Middle School students attending Arlington!
UPDATE: September 7, 2009:
WE HAVE COMPLETED 591 HATS! Which means that we have enough for the Elementary
and Middle School at Arlington! Those of you who are still knitting hats, please DO bring them in! We will donate any
additional hats to another Elementary School here in Baltimore!
UPDATE: October 31, 2009:
712 HATS! So now the plan is to let all the kids at Arlington pick a hat the week before
Thanksgiving.                  If you are on RAVELRY, join our "500 HATS PROJECT" Group

Hats have come from all over the U.S.! Here's where they're from:

NOVEMBER 13 UPDATE: We are at 720 hats, and some of the middle-school students from Arlington came to the shop to
interview me for the school's TV network (and pick their hats!)

Here are the lovely Arelys, Gabria, Chantel and Tabetha !
Their teachers, Ms. Tina Thomas and Mr. Mark Rose came to the shop to help, along with Principal Terrelle Gray
Thank you so much students and teachers for a  wonderful morning! I can't wait to see what happens when we   deliver
hats to the rest of the school! More photos to follow..

November 25, 2009 UPDATE! The teachers at Arlington put on quite a wonderful show before the students chose
their hats, and I was lucky enough to be there to take pictures!

A great big THANK YOU to the wonderful teachers and staff of Arlington Elementary and Middle Schools for
the amazing job they did on decorating the auditorium and organizing and  presenting such a fun program!
