Learn this fun basketry technique while making a new basket, bowl, or vessel for your home or as a gift. Basket weaving is an ancient craft dating back to 8,000 BC in Kenya and spans across the globe in many differing cultures. This class is for all levels of basket weaver from novice to expert. Erin will guide you through the techniques to make a beautifully woven coiled vessel using a cloth and paper coiling core, yarn and a tapestry needle. Materials: All materials will be provided for you. Please feel free to bring yarn from home or purchase some in the shop before class to supplement your supplies. All students receive 10% off purchases made on the same day as class and for supplemental class materials.
